Notes of coffee, dark chocolate, pepper, and bread. I lit this Paradiso cigar just to smoke something while I worked overtime. It was close to midnight, it had been a long day, and I needed to reward myself while working. I couldn’t wait anymore.

Work — an anaconda wrapped around me,
and I cannot withstand the constriction coil.
Work — labor,
toil.
God, I’m so tired,
dehumanized,
and bored.

Oh, I need a cigar.

Economy — an invisible monster
that feeds off time,
men’s finite amount of time.

Labor —
it is the “productive” digestion of time.

Laborer — also someone whose fingertips peck the keyboard
for more than eight hours a day
for money.

Employee — one who unknowingly worships Ponos,
one who offers himself as a sacrifice
on the altar of business growth.

Salary — like digested food is shit,
digested time is money.

Capital — shit that multiplies itself.
It is like bad bacteria.

Money — “Eat shit and see you tomorrow, buddy.”

Oh, I need a cigar.

And, well, I am working on my laptop now.
Look at me working now.
It’s almost midnight, and every task
is another log in the flame of fury.

Oh, I need a cigar.

CAO Pilon Corona

Have a Cigar: CAO Pilon Corona

Name: CAO Pilon Corona

Country: Nicaragua

Shape: Parejo

Size: Corona (5 1/2 inches x 44)

Strength: Medium

The CAO Pilon Corona tastes like friendship wrapped in gallantry. It’s a cigar I like to smoke with a drink in my hand and a friend by my side.

I paired this one with Laphroaig 10 and got hints of birch, cocoa, and pepper. The final third was a little spicier and woodier than the first two, and I got mild notes of burnt caramel.

The finish was strong, and I loved it.

Columbus Cigar Silver S. Camping in Baskinta.

Have a Cigar: Columbus Silver Special S

Name: Columbus Silver Special S

Country: Honduras

Shape: Parejo

Size: (5 3/8 inches x 52)

Strength: Medium to Full

This is the fourth Columbus vitola that I try, and it’s probably the best of them all. From the Regular Line, I have tried the Churchill, the Short Churchill, and the Perfectos.

The Churchill vitola is the Columbus cigar I’ve been smoking more frequently. Their quality, price, and taste makes them great cigars to purchase in large quantities and share them with friends. In fact, it seems like they have naturally become our go-to cigars when we’re hanging out. Whether we’re having barbecue, we’re out camping, or we’re at a casual bar drinking, someone always has an extra Columbus with him.

If I’m having a long night, I personally like smoking different brands. I do not like smoking two of the same brand in succession. That’s not very enjoyable for me. My palate gets bored too quickly. But I have friends who enjoy lighting two or three Columbus Churchills or Short Churchills consecutively… I suppose it doesn’t matter what you’re smoking when you’re intoxicated, as long as you’re smoking something and you’re having a good time.

Now, coming back to the Columbus Silver, let me just say that it’s a good one and that you will feel like you’re smoking something premium.

We were camping in Baskinta, and the Columbus Silver Special S was the second cigar I light that night.

I was having vodka. Our laughs were loud and frank. And I saw a falling star.
