A mild-bodied cigar. A good smoke to conclude the night with.

Although small, it burned slowly and lasted for about an hour. The draw was firm. But it produced an alluring, see-through smoke, and I kept on wanting more.

Overall, it was pretty straightforward throughout. Nothing too complex. The notes I got from it were subtle and shy.

I paired it with Johnnie Walker Black Label, and it was alright. The night was good.

Name: La Flor Dominicana (LFD) Double Ligero 700 Maduro

Size: Gordo (6 1/2 inches x 60)

Strength: Full

Big cigar. I paired it with a 12-year-old blended Scotch and had a wonderful night.

I’ve tried different vitolas of the LFD Double Ligero before, so the aroma and flavors weren’t new to me. The only difference was that this was the biggest one. It lasted for about two hours. It had a good draw, and it burned evenly until there was nothing left of it.

Overall, I’d say that it’s a good clubbing cigar. I wouldn’t mind burning a few more of these at the beach or on a night out with friends. Good stuff.

Name: Rocky Patel Disciple Sixty

I paired this beauty with an espresso and smoked it by the pool. Overall, it was a good experience, and I can confidently say that I would definitely smoke the Rocky Patel Disciple again.

Branding: I love how this cigar is packaged. It’s such an attractive stick. The bands, the colors, the name, everything. I love the name. “Disciple” sounds religious, deep, and powerful.

Construction: Masterfully rolled, no soft spots, no weaknesses.

Pre-light: How can I describe it? It smelled like the inside of a medieval Catholic church. Old wood. Cold stones. Petrichor. Freshly baked bread.

Cut: Straight cut. Like almost always.

Burn: Even burn. But I still had to fix it a couple of times. It was a windy day.

Duration: 90 minutes.

Draw: Good. Could have been a little better.

Smoke: Flirtatious. Serpentine.

Ash: Good.

Flavor: Dark cocoa, earth, pink peppercorn, and oak.
