Took my wife out on a date to a rooftop restobar. With me, I took a new cigar and paired it with a reposado.

It was the first time I try the Casa Magna Colorado Gran Toro. It was impressive. I could taste the soil the farmers worked on. I could smell dark roast coffee and freshly baked bread. And the tequila I sipped on brought notes of cinnamon and spice to the surface.

The cigar burned gently as I enjoyed the view. I could see Beirut, but the humidity in the air made it a little blurry.

It was a nice night.

By the time I reached the final third of the cigar, it was time for us to go. I took a last draw and said goodnight to the world.

The is the second La Aurora cigar I try. I had my first one back in 2021. But that’s a long time ago… I smoked this one at the cigar lounge, and I paired it with sparkling water and espresso.

La Aurora 115th Anniversary Gran Toro is a big, well-built cigar with no weaknesses.

Good burn. Good draw. Creamy, chocolaty, leathery, and gamy notes. Good smoke. I could have paired it with bourbon or a 12-year-old blended Scotch.

I understand that this post’s image may misrepresent the cigar. But I had already had quite a lot of beers before I remembered that I needed to take a picture of it. This is not the first time. It happens with me sometimes. I enjoy the moment so much that I forget to take pictures.

The important thing is that the cigar burned wonderfully, and I got maximum pleasure out of it. I paired it with stout, so it was black versus black.

There was a blurry moon in the sky. Rock music came out of pub’s speakers. I was with my buddies. There was nothing to complain about.
