The Gold Edition Short Torpedo worked like a silver bullet. I needed to kill the stress to be able to start to think clearly again. And that’s exactly what it did.

I paired with with American coffee and smoked it on my balcony.

I got some woody notes and hints of pepper, grass, and petrichor.

Name: Rocky Patel Decade Toro

It was a very fine smoke on a very fine day. I paired it with Laphroaig 10.

Aesthetically speaking, I can say that I liked the Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo better. That would be the more attractive vitola. But in terms of taste and experience, the Toro was as amazing as the Torpedo.

I got hints of creamy cappuccino, black pepper, prune, and leather.

The Rocky Patel Decade Toro had a good draw, and it burned evenly until finish.

Name: La Libertad Gran Toro

This cigar surprised me. All I wanted was a stick to burn by the pool, but I got something far better than that.

In terms of appearance, I would have to give La Libertad a high score for the way the Nicaraguan wrapper shined in the sun. And I could find no flaws in its construction.

It smelled like barnyard and tasted like chocolate-flavored leather.

The burn was consistent; I did not have any issues there except at the beginning when the cigar was newly lit.

I paired it with Turkish coffee and had a good time.
