Review of the Barka Talliya wine from the Bekaa Valley

Lebanese Wines: Barka Red Talliya 2019

Name: Barka Red Talliya 2019
Type: Red Wine
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah
Year: 2019
Country: Lebanon
Region: Bekaa Valley
Date Consumed: December 16, 2025

Another Lebanese red. This one is a nice medium-to-full-bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, offering an impressive harmony of notes. I got hints of black fruits, earth, leather, and oak.

It has medium acidity and balanced tannins, which makes it easy for everyone to enjoy.

This was my first time trying anything by Barka. So, now I know that their other wines must also be worth trying.

Cheers.

Review of the Lebanese wine called Les Trois Maladroits

Lebanese Wines: Les Trois Maladroits Red 2020

Name: Les Trois Maladroits Red 2020
Type: Red Wine
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo
Year: 2020
Country: Lebanon
Region: [Not Sure]
Date Consumed: October 9, 2025

It’s important to note here that we’re looking at an affordable Lebanese red wine, not one that represents Lebanon’s overall wine spirit. So, if you’ve just landed in Beirut or are new to Lebanese wines, don’t let this be the first bottle you try. You’d have the wrong first impression.

Nonetheless, Les Trois Maladroits is a nice blend, smooth and drinkable. There’s nothing too special about it, nor anything too horrible.

The branding of the bottle is on point: It’s fun to drink it. But that is all.

Review of the Lebanese wine Massaya Le Colombier by a Lebanese connoisseur, or, more precisely, a dilettante

Lebanese Wines: Massaya Le Colombier 2020

Name: Massaya Le Colombier 2020
Type: Red Wine
Grapes: Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Tempranillo
Year: 2020
Country: Lebanon
Region: Bekaa Valley
Date Consumed: October 3, 2025

Young, balanced, and affordable. Massaya’s Le Colombier is amalgamation of red fruits, strawberry lollipop, and spices. It’s a smooth wine and is imbibed so easily that the bottle empties a little too quickly. One bottle isn’t enough for two, and two bottles is a little too much. Therefore, I suggest you do whatever you like with this information to derive maximum pleasure.

This wasn’t the first time I try Massaya’s Le Colombier, but it’s the first time I truly appreciate it. It’s one of those affordable, entry-level Lebanese red wines that everyone must try.
