Casually smoking a Zino Nicaragua Robusto

Have a Cigar: Zino Nicaragua Robusto

Name: Zino Nicaragua Robusto

Country: Honduras

Shape: Parejo

Size: (5 inches x 54)

Strength: Medium

The Zino Nicaragua Robusto is a medium-bodied cigar that can help you burn an hour or so when you’re bored. When paired with a drink, it can also help you calm down after a long, stressful day.

It’s not a celebration cigar. That’s for sure. For celebrations, I would rather smoke a more complex and aromatic cigar. And those are not the main characteristics of the Zino Nicaragua, although I could detect some earthy, woody, and peppery notes.

The Zino Nicaragua is built to be smoked casually and unpretentiously. You can feel it when you hold it. You can know it from the simplicity of its band design… and its price.

Overall, it’s a well-balanced cigar; it burns evenly, tastes good, and gives out a good amount of smoke.

Don’t think too much, if you’re planning to try it. Just give it a straight cut and light it. Wherever you are.

Have a Cigar: Meluha Maduro Gordo

Name: Meluha Maduro Gordo

Country: Costa Rica

Shape: Parejo

Size: Gordo

Strength: Medium to Full

I felt like smoking something new, so I chose the Meluha. It’s a brand that I don’t know a lot about. In fact, I had never heard of the brand before last week.

When I was out buying cigars to refill my humidor, after letting me pick a few familiar ones, the guy at the shop asked, “Have you tried the Meluha before?”

I answered, “No. Is it any good?”

He nodded his head, grinned, and he said, “Well, you’re in for a treat.”

He showed me three vitolas to choose from, and I chose one.

“You’re really going to like this one,” he added. “It’s very aromatic.”

“Thanks,” I said. “I’ll let you know if I like it.”

If he were here right now, I’d tell him that it’s a pretty good cigar. I’m glad I tried it.

Columbus Cigar Review

Have a Cigar: Columbus Torpedo N:2

Name: Columbus Torpedo N:2

Country: Honduras

Shape: Torpedo

Size: (6 1/4 inches x 52)

Strength: Medium to Full

Casually smoking the night away
with a friend,
drinking whisky and talking about music,
asking about the whereabouts of this guy and that guy,
reminding ourselves how time goes fast by remembering things that took place more than 10 years ago,
reading an article about an “asteroid which could possibly hit earth” in 2022,
joking,
laughing,
and so on, and so on.

“Thanks for the cigar,” I said as I zipped up my jacket. “The next one’s on me.”
