Creating meaning out of sheer boredom.
I’m Chris Khatsch, an artist and writer working across text, sound, and painting. My practice explores boredom, liminality, repetition, and excess.
I’ve written two books:
- A Poet’s Cigar Journal & Ten Poems, which is a poetic experiment in solitude, smoke, and time.
- The Muses of Hamra Street, which is a fragmented portrait of Beirut and its restless interior life.
Alongside writing, I’m the co-founder and frontman of In Sanity Q, a Beirut-based band, experimenting with sound, blending rock, metal, and blues. Our latest album is called Test Pickles, and you can find it on all major music platforms.
Bored Absurdist is my personal blog. It is a working notebook where philosophy, art, and small pleasures meet. Here, I write about the things that make life both ridiculous and worth living: books, ideas, cigars, wine, and what it means to be human in an ever-accelerating, technologically driven world.
