A tobacconist suggested I try this cigar. “I love this one,” he said as he showed me the thick, six-inch, oily dark brown stick. I could see how mouth-watering it was for him. He was telling the truth. If I weren’t there, maybe he would have lit one.
I held the cigar in my hand and observed its beauty. “Such a lovely looking cigar,” I said.
He praised it so much that I wanted to take it out of the cellophane wrapper and light it right there and then.
I purchased one and went home. When I finally got the chance to smoke it, I understood why he loved it so much.
It’s a big, savory cigar with notes of wood, chocolate, pecan, and almond. It evolves midway to become spicy and leathery. And the final third is strong.
I will surely keep one in my humidor.
